(Bloomberg) -- Israel’s Golan Heights Winery, located in an area captured from Syria in the 1967 Mideast war, will market its products in the United Arab Emirates beginning Thursday.

The Golan-bottled wines will be made available in the UAE through African & Eastern, an importer of alcoholic beverages, Yair Shapira, the winery’s chief executive officer, said in a Kan radio interview.

The marketing arrangement was made possible after Israel and the UAE agreed in September to normalize relations. Shapira said the company, which hasn’t sold its products in the UAE before, had been contacted by African & Eastern shortly after the two countries signed their agreement.
