(Bloomberg) -- The White House National Economic Council and the Council of Economic Advisers are analyzing the potential short- and long-term impact of the coronavirus outbreak on the U.S. economy, the Washington Post reported, citing unidentified people familiar with the matter.

Officials who spoke to the Washington Post called the study preliminary and precautionary.

President Donald Trump on Friday signed an order temporarily barring entry to foreigners who had visited China, unless they were immediate relatives of U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Flights from China to the U.S. were restricted to seven airports from Sunday.
