(Bloomberg) -- Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has ordered officials to quarantine anyone who entered the country from China in the last two weeks over concerns about the spread of the novel coronavirus, according to a post on the government’s website.

The government last week suspended the issuance of tourist visas to Chinese and other foreigners seeking to visit Vietnam from China.

Hanoi officials are planning to quarantine 950 people expected to enter the country from areas affected by the novel coronavirus, Nguoi Lao Dong news website reported, citing Colonel Nguyen Viet Thang, head of the medical service of the Hanoi Capital High Command.
