U.S. Asks Venezuelan Military to Defend Democracy, Constitution

(Bloomberg) -- National Security Adviser John Bolton tells Venezuelan military leaders to defend the South American’s country constitution and uphold democracy, according his Twitter post in Spanish.

  • ‘To the Venezuelan military high command, now is the time to stand on the side of the Venezuelan people. It is your right and responsibility to defend the constitution and democracy for Venezuela!” Bolton says in the tweet
  • Bolton also tweets that U.S. State Department and USAID are preparing critical supplies for humanitarian aid to move forward this weekend
