Support for Japan Cabinet in Nov. Falls to 48.7%: Kyodo Poll

(Bloomberg) -- Support for Japan’s cabinet fell to 48.7% in November, from 54.1% last month, according to a Kyodo News poll.

About 38.1% are not supportive of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s cabinet, according to results of a national telephone survey conducted on Nov. 23 and 24. Around 69% said they didn’t trust Abe’s comments on a scandal over spending on parties, according to the poll.

Two-thirds of respondents were positive about a last-minute rescue of a military pact between Japan and South Korea, the survey showed. Seoul on late Friday reversed a decision to sever its General Security of Military Information Agreement with Tokyo.
