He defeated Democrat Joe Radinovich, a former state representative. President Trump’s steel tariffs have been popular for miners in this northern Minnesota district, home to Duluth and the Iron Range. Both the president and Vice President Mike Pence stumped for Stauber, a county commissioner, retired police officer and former professional hockey player.
