(Bloomberg) -- British soccer club Manchester City has filed an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) over a 30 million euros fine and a two year ban from Champions League competitions.

The sports court announced the appeal on Wednesday morning. This move is directed against UEFA Club Financial Control Body decision’s from February 14, in which Manchester City was deemed to have contravened UEFA’s Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play Regulations. The team has denied any wrongdoing.

CAS said it is currently not possible to determine when a final award on the appeal will be issued.
