(Bloomberg) -- An 86 year-old female Singaporean who had no recent travel history to affected countries passed away from complications due to a coronavirus infection on early Friday morning, the city-state’s health ministry said in a statement.
The woman was admitted to the National Centre for Infectious Diseases on March 31, and was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on the same day, according to the statement.

As of April 2 at noon, the government had confirmed an additional 49 cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 1,049.
