It was reported earlier Tuesday that Gronkowski had told the Patriots he’s interested in playing football again and wanted to do so with now Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady.

“Pending the physical, Rob has agreed to play for Tampa this season. He will honor his current contract at this time,” Gronkowski’s agent told ESPN Insider Adam Schefter, who also tweeted that Tampa Bay was the only place Gronkowski wanted to play.
The 30-year-old played nine seasons with the Patriots before retiring, racking up over 500 receptions and 79 touchdowns.
