(Bloomberg) -- A total of 2,426 customers in New York state’s Long Island and the Rockaways are still without power following an outage caused by strong winds and hazardous gusts.

Public Service Enterprise Group Inc. said it’s already restored power for about 87% of those affected by Friday’s outage as of 9:30 p.m. Eastern time. Most of the remaining customers will have theirs by midnight, with almost all storm-related jobs expected to be completed by the morning, the company said.

“The winds will subside as the night continues, however additional
outages may occur,” it said.
