Nigeria’s Vice President Survives Chopper Crash in Central Kogi

(Bloomberg) -- Nigerian Vice President Yemi Osinbajo survived a helicopter crash in central Kogi State on Saturday while campaigning, his spokesman Laolu Akande said on Twitter.

The vice president and his team were unharmed and continued with the campaign, Akande said.

Nigeria will go to the polls on Feb. 16 for an election in which incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari and Osinbajo are seeking a second term against main opponent Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president and presidential candidate of the opposition People’s Democratic Party.
