(Bloomberg Law) -- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will publish as early as this week guidance on Covid-19 testing for asymptomatic people, agency Director Robert Redfield told lawmakers Wednesday.
The CDC has come under fire for an earlier guidance that Redfield said was “misinterpreted” as stating people without symptoms of the respiratory disease shouldn’t be tested.
Redfield also told members of a Senate committee that CDC guidance is forthcoming on screening and “systematic surveillance so we don’t get blindsided” by another outbreak.
