(Bloomberg) -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to submit a request for immunity from prosecution to parliament on Wednesday, the Jerusalem Post reported, citing officials in the Likud political party.

Wednesday is the last day Netanyahu is permitted to submit the request to Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein, the newspaper said. The move will allow Netanyahu to postpone the trial of three corruption cases against him, it said.

A Likud party spokeswoman declined to comment.
Netanyahu has been indicted in three corruption cases, on charges including bribery and fraud.
