Elf Beauty Holder Marathon Has Discussed Boosting Value

(Bloomberg) -- Marathon Partners Equity Management LLC reported a 5.2% holding in Elf Beauty Inc., according to a new 13D filing with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission. The stake is equivalent to $32.4 million.

According to the filing, Marathon Partners has engaged and continues to engage with Elf Beauty’s management and the Board on opportunities to enhance shareholder .

Shares of Elf Beauty have declined 5.5% in the past year, compared with the 3.5% drop in the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index. The Oakland, California-based consumer staples company has a market cap of $623 million.
