Israel Court Won’t Hear Case on Indicted PM Forming Government

(Bloomberg) -- Israel’s High Court of Justice declined to rule on a petition that sought to prevent Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from potentially forming a government following the March 2 election.

The petitioners, a group of 67 citizens, asked the court to rule that a prime minister under indictment may not form a government. Netanyahu has been charged in three corruption cases.

The court said in its decision that the petition was hypothetical at this point.
