Ho Chi Minh City to Test Some People From Hanoi, Other Areas

(Bloomberg) -- Ho Chi Minh City plans to begin virus testing of people from Hanoi and the provinces of Hai Duong, Quang Nam and Quang Ngai reported to have come into contact with infected patients or from areas under a lockdown or social distancing order, the city’s disease control center said on its website.

The city tested more than 53,400 returnees from Danang between July 1 and July 28 and has not reported any new local cases in the last 16 days, the center said in a separate post. There are 1,180 people under centralized quarantine facilities and 3,409 under self-quarantine at home in the city.
