(Bloomberg) -- Gambia’s President Adama Barrow has formed a new political party in a move that would allow him to seek a second term in 2021 after he earlier agreed to resign following a 3-year transition period.

- Barrow registered himself as party leader of National Peoples Party, according to an emailed statement from the country’s electoral commission
