Floods, Landslides Kill Nine in Indonesian Cities

(Bloomberg) -- At least nine killed in the worst flooding since 2013 in Indonesian capital and nearby cities, according to the country’s disaster mitigation agency.

Heavy monsoon rain in the greater Jakarta region since New Year’s eve triggered the floods, submerging homes and cars and shutting one of Jakarta’s airports. It also caused landslides in some areas and power outages.
