(Bloomberg) -- The leaders of France, Germany and Italy urged Libyan and international parties to take part in efforts led by the United Nations to bring peace to the north African nation.

President Emmanuel Macron, Chancellor Angela Merkel and Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, in a joint statement after meeting on the sidelines of a European Union summit in Brussels, urged “a comprehensive and lasting cessation of hostilities.” They reiterated their determination to work for the success of a forthcoming Berlin Conference, due to involve Libyan and regional players.
