Etihad to Operate Reduced Network of Passenger Flights From May

(Bloomberg) --

Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways plans to operate a reduced network of scheduled passenger services from May as the carrier gradually ramps up operations that were shut following the coronavirus outbreak.

Reduced passenger services are planned from May 1 to 30 June, “with the aim of gradually returning to a fuller schedule as and when the global situation improves,” the airline said in a statement. The plan is subject to the government-imposed travel restrictions being lifted on passenger travel.

Etihad is also continuing to operate special passenger flights allowing foreign nationals in the U.A.E. to travel out, and carry essential belly-hold cargo such as perishables, pharmaceuticals, and medical supplies.
