Ex-Apollo Partner to Chronicle Insider’s View of Private Equity

After more than a decade of experience at the world’s top private equity firms, Sachin Khajuria’s next move is writing about it.

The former partner at Apollo Global Management Inc. is getting the book “Two and Twenty” published in a deal with the Penguin Random House group, according to a person briefed on the matter, who asked not to be named because the information isn’t public.

Khajuria will explore how money is made in an area of finance that has minted some of the world’s wealthiest billionaires. He plans to cover the culture, logic and aggression of the industry, as well as regulation and how investments are made.

Khajuria is still actively involved in the industry. He runs his own firm, Achilles Management, and is a limited partner in funds overseen by Blackstone Group Inc., Carlyle Group Inc. and Apollo, which he left in 2017. He previously worked at Quadrangle Group, Macquarie Group Ltd., Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley.
