About six lakh people have been displaced due to the floods in Kerala. Relief measures are being undertaken on a war-footing in over 3,000 relief camps set up across the state.
Houses, roads and electricity lines have suffered extensive damage, while mobile services have been disrupted. The state is also undertaking preparations to tackle the outbreak of epidemics in the aftermath of floods.
