The world’s leading economies showed significant improvement in June, but the recovery remains fragile, the OECD said. The organization’s Composite Leading Indicators, designed to anticipate turning points six to nine months before they happen, rebounded strongly in most large economies, though they’re still below both pre-pandemic levels and long-term trends. The OECD said uncertainty about lockdowns mean readings should be “interpreted with care.”
