Coronavirus India Latest Updates: New Cases Stay Below 20,000 For Second Day

Active Covid-19 cases in India dropped further to 2.82 lakh, as India reported less than 20,000 new cases for the second day in a row.

As many as 18,870 people tested positive for the coronavirus in the last 24 hours according to the Health Ministry’s update as of 8 a.m. on Sept. 29. That compares with the 28,178 recoveries recorded in the same period.

Active cases currently account for 0.84% of the total tally, the lowest since March last year.

378 patients succumbed to the deadly pathogen in the last 24 hours, taking India's total death toll above 4.47 lakh.
