India's daily Covid-19 infection rate climbed back above the 30,000-mark after four days, as a third wave threatens the country's economic revival.
As many as 30,570 people tested positive for the coronavirus in the last 24 hours according to the Health Ministry’s update as of 8 a.m. on Sept. 16.
Daily recoveries continued to exceed fresh infections, causing a dip in active cases to 3.42 lakh. India's active case load now makes up 1.03% of the total tally.
