Coronavirus India Latest Updates: 11,919 New Cases, 470 Deaths

India's active Covid-19 cases inched higher as fresh infections exceeded daily recoveries for the first time in 13 days.

The country added 11,919 new cases of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry’s update as of 8 a.m. on Nov. 18. That compares with nearly 11,242 recoveries in the period.

Active cases, at 1.28 lakh, account for 0.37% of the country's total tally— the lowest since March 2020.
