Google Searches for the iPhone Are Less Than Half of Peak

(Bloomberg) -- Google Trends data for Apple Inc.’s iPhone shows interest from users has been below half of the peak reached in September of 2012 for nine of the last ten months. The lone exception was this September, when Apple held its annual product launch event to unveil the latest version of the iPhone X and the Apple Watch Series 4. “Apple’s new lineup is solid, as are Samsung, Huawei and LG’s latest phones,” said Bloomberg Intelligence senior analyst John Butler. “I don’t expect an unusually weak Christmas for any of these vendors, despite the recent news flow surrounding Apple’s supply chain.”
