(Bloomberg) -- Before the front-firing missiles and tire shredders are installed on James Bond’s next car, Aston Martin has some more mundane work to do.

The iconic automaker’s U.S. unit is recalling 2011-2014 models of its V8 Vantage sports car with seven-speed, auto-shift manual transmission to fix a connector in the clutch fluid line that may break. That could cause leaks that may result in the vehicle becoming stuck in gear and possibly crashing or rolling away, according to a posting Saturday on the website of the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

A Vantage Volante was used in the 1987 Bond film “The Living Daylights” and, according to the automotive blog Motor Verso, a 2018 Vantage is scheduled to be featured in the next film in the series. Several other Aston Martin models have been used in the movie franchise that kicked off in 1962, based on Ian Fleming’s spy novels going back to the 1950s.
