SGX Nifty indicates another positive start to Indian equities

The Nifty futures on the Singapore Stock Exchange, an early indicator of Nifty’s performance in India, gained 0.4 percent to 8,841.

Here are the stocks to watch out for in today’s session:

Infosys

Co-Founder Murthy says calling off battle with board.

Murthy says Infosys will have to deal with the questions about corporate governance that have been raised.

Jaiprakash Associates

  • Considering realignment of remaining debt subject to approval from shareholders and lenders
  • Interest on 11.8 percent of company's NCDs remain unpaid for more than three months.

Chambal Fertilizers

  • Availed foreign currency loan of $90 million from Axis Bank and Export-Import Bank of India
  • Company also voluntarily cancelled a term loan facility of Rs 557.85 crore with Axis Bank and a term loan facility with SBI equivalent to Rs 33.83 crore.

Reliance Defence And Engineering

  • Will be raising not more than Rs 3,205 crore to refinance the lenders
  • Will not raise more than Rs 655 crore through equity shares, Rs 2,300 crore through preference shares and Rs 250 crore through NCDs.
  • Will exit from the CDR scheme on completion of the refinancing process

Max Ventures And Industries

  • Toppan Printing Co. Ltd. to acquire 49 percent stake in subsidiary Max Speciality Films Ltd.
  • Max Ventures to sell its 35.93 percent stake to Toppan for Rs 146.75 crore
  • MSF will issue 13.07 percent equity shares to Toppan worth Rs 53.37 crore
  • Hindustan Motors: Executes an agreement with Peugeot S.A. for the sale of the Ambassador brand and certain related rights for a consideration of Rs 80 crore.
  • Siemens: Wins order worth Rs 101 crore from Delhi Transco Ltd. for installing 220/66/33 kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) substation at RK Puram in New Delhi
  • Berger Paints: Signs an MoU with Promat International Ltd., NV of Belgium for cooperation in the field of passive fire protection and high performance insulation coatings in India, Bangladesh and Nepal.
  • Shriram Transport Finance: Approves further issuance of senior secured notes due in 2020 payable in U.S. dollars amounting to Rs 200 crore with a coupon of 8.25 percent per annum.
  • Shreyas Shipping: Signs memorandum of agreement (MoA) for acquisition of one container vessel of about 1,100 teus, delivery of which is expected by March 2017.
  • Sagar Cements: Issued 2.4 million equity shares to qualified institutional buyers at Rs 720 per share.
  • ECL Finance: Board of directors approve the issue of NCDs worth Rs 13,000 crore via NCDs in one or more tranches.
  • IL&FS Engineering and Construction: Board of directors approve issuance of up to 1,05,13,238 equity shares on a preferential basis.
  • Techno Electric & Engineering: Board of directors approve a buyback proposal of up to 15,00,000 equity shares for a maximum price of Rs 400 for a total amount of Rs 60 crore.
  • Tata Communications: Successfully completes transfer of its South African business Neotel to Liquid Telecom for 6.55 billion rand.
  • Bannari Amman Sugars: Allotted 11,00,000 equity shares of Rs 10 each as per the scheme of amalgamation of M/s. Madras Sugars Ltd. as approved by the High Court of Madras.
  • Apollo Hospitals: To hold meeting on February 14, 2017 to consider issue of debentures worth Rs 200 crore
  • Kaveri Seeds: Macquarie Emerging Markets Asian Trading bought 1.92 million shares for Rs 475.2 per share.
  • Supreme Infrastructure: Board of Directors approve further issuance of securities not exceeding Rs 250 crore.
  • SMS Pharmaceuticals: Board of Directors approve further investment of Rs 15 crore in VKT Pharma Pvt. Ltd. via subscription to equity shares.
