The Nifty futures on the Singapore Stock Exchange, an early indicator of Nifty’s performance in India, gained 0.4 percent to 8,836.

Welspun India

  • Enters into a strategic agreement with Cotton Egypt Association
  • Agreement to create a program for promotion of Egyptian Cotton logo
  • Proposes to invest a sum of $3 million in stages over the next few years

Tata Chemicals

  • Approves an investment of Rs 270 crore for setting up a biotechnology unit in Andhra Pradesh
  • Approves an investment of Rs 295 crore for setting up a plant to manufacture precipitated highly dispersible silica in Gujarat
  • Tata Steel: Signs definitive agreement with Liberty House group for the sale of its speciality steel business for a total consideration of £100 million
  • ICRA: Board of directors approve buyback of a maximum of 88,888 equity shares for price not exceeding Rs 4,500 crore. Total buyback consideration will be Rs 40 crore.

  • IMP Powers: Bags an order worth Rs 52 crore from Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd. to manufacture and supply 2,100 MVA power transformers.
  • Sical Logistics: Gagandeep Credit Capital Pvt. Ltd. bought 9.1 lakh shares for Rs 232.31 per share
