SGX Nifty indicates a tepid start to Indian equities

The Nifty futures on the Singapore Stock Exchange, an early indicator of Nifty’s performance in India, was little changed at 8,811.

Here are the stocks to watch out for in today’s session:

NBCC (India)

  • Secured business worth Rs 187.49 crore in the month of January
  • Signed MoU with Ministry of Tourism and State Government of Jammu and Kashmir for development of tourist facilities
  • Facilities at Gulmarg, Baramulla, Leh and Kupwara value at Rs 96.92 crore.

Titagarh Wagons

  • Receives letter of intent from National Institute of Ocean Technology
  • LoI for design, construction and delivery of two coastal research vessels worth Rs 100 crore

Panyam Cements

  • Porinju Veliyath bought 0.1 million shares at Rs 67.5 per share
  • Chetan Rasiklal Shah bought 0.17 million shares at Rs 67.64 per share.
  • Copthall Mauritius Investment, Deutsche Securities Mauritius and Indian Overseas Bank sold 2.25 million shares.

Rural Electrification Corporation

  • Enters into an MoU with Karnataka Power Corporation (KPCL) and Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM)
  • To extend financial assistance to the tune of Rs 39,121 crore for the next five years
  • KPCL to get Rs 27,121 crore while BESCOM to receive Rs 12,000 crore
  • Vijaya Bank: Members of the All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA), All India Bank Officers Association (AIBOA) and Bank Employees Federation of India (BEFI) withdraw their decision to go on an all India bank strike today
  • Bank of Maharashtra: Lowers MCLR in the range of 10-20 basis points depending on maturity

  • IIFL Holdings: IDFC Bank purchases 15.85 million shares from Copthall Mauritius Investment at Rs 317 per share totalling to 5 percent stake worth Rs 502 crore.
  • Samtex Fashions: Chetan Rasiklal Shah bought 0.5 million shares at Rs 12.62 per share
  • Lypsa Gems & Jewel: Nomura Singapore bought 0.13 million shares at Rs 66 per share
