It’s turning out to be a bad November for Pune-based Bajaj Auto Ltd. Just when the motorcycle maker was hoping to make the most of an above-normal monsoon, the government’s demonetisation drive has turned out to be a big spoke in the wheel for the company. Eric Vas, the president of its motorcycle business told BloombergQuint, rural sales have dipped by as much as 50 percent, and urban centres are not performing too well either, which will translate to a 25 percent drop in monthly sales.
