Unilever Enters Air Purifier Business Through Acquisition of Sweden-Based Blueair 

Unilever signed an agreement to acquire Blueair.

Unilever, parent company of Hindustan Unilever, has signed an agreement to acquire Sweden-based Blueair, a leading player in mobile air purification technology in China, U.S. Japan, South Korea, according to the company’s press release.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed. Present in over 60 countries, Blueair had a turnover of $106 million in 2015, and its business will complement Unilever’s existing water purification business, the company said in its press release.
